FAQ: How do I join the VOTE HERE group so I can vote?

You know how you have to prove your identity when you show up at your local polling place?  Well, that is exactly what you have to do on 5 for Fairness.  In order to access our poll and vote, you first (and thankfully, only once) have to prove that you are a member of 5 for Fairness. 

When you get to the VOTE HERE group, (there's a link below) you will see one of two things across the top of the page:
If you see this...

Click on the click here to request access link.  A box will open up underneath it that looks like this:

 
You can add a message if you wish or just click the SEND REQUEST box.  This will send a message to us that you would like to join the group and be able to vote.  THIS IS NOT YOUR VOTE!

After you click SEND REQUEST, a window will appear that looks like this:

Your request will come to us and we will approve it as soon as we check to make sure you are actually a member of 5 for Fairness.  Soon, you will get an email telling you that you are now a member of VOTE HERE.  When you do, click on the link in the email and you will be brought back to the group.  You will now see this:

Now that you are a member, you will be able to vote on where we send our grant when the time comes.

If you have received an invitation to the group from me, when you arrive at the VOTE HERE group, you will see this:

Click the JOIN NOW button and you will immediately see this:

Now that you are a member, you will be able to see the poll, cast your vote (remember to check that a little "Thank you for voting" message comes up after your vote and, most important, leave a comment telling us that you have voted.)
