LET'S VOTE!

Look over the choices, see which group you most want to see get our $5000 grant and cast your vote by June 30th. We have five groups to chose from, all committed to helping girls in different ways. If you have questions about any group, start a discussion on its page and ask away. Here are our contenders...

GLOBAL FUND FOR WOMEN
The Global Fund For Women is a nonprofit grantmaking foundation that advances women's rights worldwide.

HELP THE AFGHAN CHILDREN
Help the Afghan Children will use our grant to fund computer education in an Afghan girls' school. $5000 could be of great help to an existing
computer lab or help to start a new one. Please read Discussions section
for more info.

MAN UP
Man Up is a global campaign, launched in September of 2009, to activate youth to stop violence against women and girls. The Campaign challenges
each of us to “man up” and declare that violence against women and girls
must end.

MOSTE
MOSTE (Motivating Our Students Through Experience) is a Los Angeles based program that mentors underserved middle and highschool girls from
some of the poorest neighborhoods as they prepare for college.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT IN UGANDA

Join our Team to help provide vital education to women in need in rural Uganda! If funded, this project will fund 20 scholarships for women in
the Rakai District to attend school for one year and establish
agricultural projects for the community.

Bangladesh Girls Refugee Basketball Camp is not in the running this time. We have not found a reliable way to give them a grant and be sure that it will go where we want it to go. Hopefully that will be straightened out by the next voting round.

Don't be discouraged if the group you want to see get the grant does not have the highest number of team members. Our first grant went to a group that got the most votes despite the fact that they didn't have the highest number of members.
