My college roommate, Kathryn Kolbert, head of Barnard College's new Athena program for Women's Leadership, was just visiting and turned me on to Barnard's recent commencement speech by the COO of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg. She talks about what it's like to be a woman in a powerful job and it is inspiring!
Also, the Athena Program is sponsoring a Women's Film Festival. The first one was last February. I attended and it was fantastic...all films relating to women's issues and wonderful panels. I will let the 5fers know about next year's fest, which will be held at Barnard in NYC in February.
