What's new this time around?
Here at 5 for Fairness, we are nothing if not a work in progress. We figure that comes with the territory when you're trying to do something no one has ever done before. With each Grant Cycle, we are trying to make being part of 5 for Fairness more fun, easy and meaningful.
To that end, we have ditched the entire "Primary" process and will now have a four week Grant Cycle that goes like this:
During the first three weeks (11/1 - 11/22) 5fers can help evaluate the Teams and/or advocate for their favorite Team.
During the fourth week (11/22 - 11/29) we'll vote.
The winner will be announced on 11/30. We will promptly send them a $5000 check and hopefully have enough money in our Grant Account to give away another $5000 by the end of December!
It will be much easier to vote (how happy does that make you ever-patient old-timers?) as all that will be required is that you come to the site, enter you email and click on your favorite Team.

I have some friends who have been inactive on 5for since the first vote....they can't remember their passwords...do we still have passwords, or will email alone work?

If our resident genius Paolo can get it figured out, the voting will now be on the site so they will need their site password to get to the voting page (there is an easy password reset link on the sign in page for anyone who has forgotten their password) but they will not need a password for voting - just their email.
I'll do a FAQ explaining in detail the password reset process but you basically just click the FORGOT PASSWORD link and they send you a link to reset it...
PS If anyone has problems with their passwords they can leave a comment on my page and I will help them get all sorted out.
