What's New This Time Around...

Hi 5fers:
Today marks the beginning of our sixth (yesss!) grant cycle. This means that in two weeks (on February 15th) we will start voting to decide the winner of our next $5000 grant.  We have made one big change that we think will make things easier for everyone and are excited to tell you about it but first, rest assured the most important thing has stayed the same.

If you have ever donated your minimum $5 donation you are eligible to vote.  If you are also a member here on our 5 for Fairness home base, so much the better.  But...

You no longer need to be a member of this site in order to vote.  As long as you have donated your $5 (use the handy little Donate button on the home page if you haven't!) and stay on our email list so we can tell you when to come and vote, you can vote in this and all our future grants.

Of course we WANT you to be part of the conversation, learning, advocacy and and community right here on 5 for Fairness, but we understand that many people will want to contribute and play a part in the circle without joining yet another group.

We think this change will make it much easier for you to bring supporters to your favorite Teams - always a good thing.  

Of course, we are thrilled to have anyone who who wants to advocate for a Team or join the conversation here, sign up by clicking the big JOIN link in the upper right hand corner.  But if you just want to join the circle and vote, you don't need to join here.  Just donate, stay on our email list and we'll let you know when it is time to vote.
