I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. We give girls a space to learn, ask questions and not be afraid to be themselves. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi Alice,

Hope you will look at what we are doing at www.rowla.org. We at RowLA are using the Marina del Rey waters as a waterway to college for the inner city girls of LA. Please come and VOTE for us by going to VOTE HERE above.

Hi there. I'm Eliza, one of the 5 for Fairness interns, and I want to make sure you knew that we are about to start a new voting round and decide where to send our second 5 for Fairness grant. I'm here today to ask you to join at least one Team that you think deserves a grant. The Teams that are in the running are MOSTE (Motivating Our Students Through Experience), Help the Afghan Children, Man Up, Global Fund for Women, Women's Empowerment in Uganda and Global Girl Media

In order to recapture the site's vitality and to give the newer Teams a fair chance, we hope that you will take a minute of your time and join a team today. Thank you.

Hi Alice. Welcome to 5 for Fairness! I hope you will check out the MOSTE team and see what we are all about. MOSTE is dedicated to helping junior high and high school realize their dream of going to college. We are having a fundraiser on April 8th and our honored guest is Greg Mortenson, protagonist and co-author of Three Cups of Tea. Please go to our website to view the details. www.moste.org
I hope you can attend.
In any case, thank you for joining and here's to voting! :)

You have made my day! Welcome, thank you for joining and thank you for joining so generously. Because you gave more than the required $5, you are entitled to give away 8 gift memberships to 5 for Fairness. Just send the link (http://www.5forFairness.org) to anyone you think might enjoy it and tell them to indicate on the form that the received a gift membership from you.

In any case, welcome! We are getting ready to give away our first $5000 grant (your contribution is helping to seed our second grant). On Monday, the 5 teams with the most members will move to the Voting Round. As a member, you can join multiple Teams (and once you have joined you can "Unjoin" them too - I cringe while typing that to my beloved English teacher!) Joining a Team is simple: just go to the Team page and click the link at the top of the page that says "Join". Joining means you think the Team is worth moving into the Voting Round. So please visit the Teams page to see which Teams you most support and if you have a question about their program or how they would use the grant, feel free to ask it in the Disucussion Forum on each Team page. Then, on Monday, the Voting Round begins and every 5 for Fairness member will have one week to give their one vote to their favorite of the 5 Teams. The Team that gets the most votes, gets the grant. And then we start all over again! Confused about the difference between Joining and Voting? Click here to read more about it. Have questions about how this all works (or anything at all)? Feel free to ask 'em here. Again, I am thrilled you are here! xo Anna
