Hi Cami,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi there. I'm Eliza, one of the 5 for Fairness interns, and I want to make sure you knew that we are about to start a new voting round and decide where to send our second 5 for Fairness grant. I'm here today to ask you to join at least one Team that you think deserves a grant. The Teams that are in the running are MOSTE (Motivating Our Students Through Experience), Help the Afghan Children, Man Up, Global Fund for Women, Women's Empowerment in Uganda and Global Girl Media

In order to recapture the site's vitality and to give the newer Teams a fair chance, we hope that you will take a minute of your time and join a team today. Thank you.

Hi Cami:
On Monday, we begin our week long Voting Round here on 5 for Fairness to determine where we are going to send our Inaugural $5000 grant! The 5 Teams with the most supporters will move to the Voting Round, so if, before Monday, you could visit the Teams page and pick the one (or a few!) that you feel most worthy to move into the Voting Round that would be great. I know you are already a supporter of the Bangladesh Girls Refugee Camp Team, but you can also support other teams you think most worthy to move into the Voting Round and save your Vote for the Bangladesh Girls's Refugee Camp Team. On Monday, I will put up a Poll and we will all have a week to vote among the 5 Teams that make it to the Voting Round. Please feel free to ask any questions you have about an organization on their Team page by clicking the Start a Discussion link at the bottom of the page. If you have any questions about the difference between Joining and Voting, click here to read more about it. Have questions about how this all works (or anything at all)? Feel free to ask 'em here. I'm so excited to be able to participate in giving this grant away and supporting the movement for fairness - hope you are too! Anna

Hi Cami and welcome to 5 for Fairness! We have just reached our first $5000, so your $5 will help seed our second grant. As of now, we have six Teams that are each supporting different organizations. I hope you have time to take a look at the Teams, ask a question if you have one, and/or join as many as you like. When time comes to vote, we all must pick one Team to support, but before that time, you can join as many as you like. The 5 Teams with the most members will move to the Voting Round in mid- January. Again, welcome!

Anna
