Emusoi Centre

Women LEAD

We empower young women to take leadership positions alongside men in Nepal by providing them with the skills to pursue their vision for change.Women in Nepal face overwhelming challenges: 1/3 of girls aged 15 to 19 are married and 60% of women are illiterate. Young women have the passion and vision to solve these problems, but simply lack the necessary resources. We build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle root causes of poverty and discrimination. We have equipped 200 promising…See More

Hi Christa,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi Christa and a belated welcome to 5 for Fairness! So glad you will be working as one of our interns with Sophie. First things first, we have all the interns just use their last initials so can you click Settings in the upper right hand corner and just use the first initial of your last name and not the whole thing?  Then, if you could click here and write a short post introducing yourself to the group and telling us why you are volunteering for us as an intern (you can use your answer to the question What draws you to our cause above!" that would be great.  Questions? Leave em on my page! More soon!  Anna
