Hi Edward,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi Edward, I'm Payton M a 5 for fairness intern. Now that we have ended the last grant cycle it's time to raise another $5,000 so that we can provide one for a new team. We currently have slightly under $4,000 and you can help us reach our goal by donating just $5. Women's rights are very important to me as a young girl and your $5 will contribute to bringing awareness to women's rights issues. We appreciate all you've done and continue to do! Hi, my name is Madi L and I'm a 5 for Fairness intern. I'm stopping by to let you know now is the perfect time to support any Teams you think deserve spots in the Voting Round.  There are seven teams in the running and only five spots, so please take the time to look at all of the teams and support your favorites.  Here is how you can become a Team supporter.

Go to the teams tab and look at the teams individually, and if you find one to be intriguing, click the +Support (Team name) button on the top right corner of the Team page. For more "official" instructions on how to support a Team, click hereClick here to see all of the teams in the running. We appreciate all of your help and support!

Thank you,

Madi L

Hi Edward and welcome to 5 for Fairness. We are very glad to have you. In case you need some help understanding how we do what we do, here's a recap for you. Right now, we have $5000 in our Grant Account and we need to give it away. From now until March 14, our members (that means you!) join Teams that we think are worthy of moving into the Voting Round. We can all join as many Teams as we like but on March 14, the 5 teams with the most members will move to the Voting Round. Then the group takes a week to vote - one voter per member - and the winning Team gets the Grant! Then we start all over again. The contribution you made today is actually going to seed our next grant. Hope this all makes sense but if it doesn't, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my page.

For now, a great way to get started is to visit the Teams page, explore the Teams and join any that you feel look worthwhile. You can join as many Teams as you think deserve your support, but when the voting starts, you will only be able to vote for one. Also, please take a minute to upload a photograph to replace the the teacup on your page! It's a cinch to do.

I am particularly happy to read that you have donated in honor of Edward Wheeler Forbes and hope you will stop by this discussion and tell the group a little about him and why he inspired your gift. I just added that question to our profile questions and I think our our whole group's work will be enlived by those who inspire us as individuals. Again, welcome!

Again, welcome!

Anna
