Emusoi Centre

"Educate a boy, and you educate an individual. Educate a girl, and you educate a community." African proverb via Greg Mortensen The Emusoi Center is a place where pastoralist girls are given the chance and  the support they need to fulfill their full potentials in life--allowing them the options to choose a life beyond being "properties" for their fathers/male elders to gain dowries (e.g. cows) when they are married off when they reached puberty. The word Emusoi is a maasai word which…See More

Hi Genny:
I'm Payton, a 5fer intern, and am just dropping by to say "Thank you!" for being such a loyal and active 5fer.  It is because of members like you that we have been able to give away seven (yes, seven!) $5000 grants to organizations working to make the world fair for girls and women - and we're only a few hundred dollars away from our eighth!  We are so appreciative of the way you have put up with all our many growing pains and hope you keep on believing in our circle and the good we can do.  Thanks again…

I just want to make sure that my vote was counted for Camp Voice. I donated but it won't let me vote (or maybe it already did but I can't find it). Just checking!
