What draws you to our cause?
Many reasons. Since 8 years old, this country struck me. I hope that educating girls raises their self esteem, allows all to enjoy more rights, ( of course who didnt read Three cups of Tea). Im a woman that worked in the Oriental Rug business and felt gender discrimintaion...beleive in education, etc. etc.

Hi:
I'm Payton M, a 5fer intern, and am just dropping by to say "Thank you!" for being such a loyal and active 5fer.  It is because of members like you that we have been able to give away seven (yes, seven!) $5000 grants to organizations working to make the world fair for girls and women - and we're only a few hundred dollars away from our eighth!  We are so appreciative of the way you have put up with all our many growing pains and hope you keep on believing in our circle and the good we can do.  Thanks again…

Thanks so much, Jan, for donating again to our grant account!  I am so grateful.  A new member joined the other day and she wrote this in response to the question, "What draws you to our cause?":

I never thought I could make enough of a difference, in my giving, with the limited amount of money I have - so this cause affords me the opportunity to change someone's life even though I'm not a millionaire and only have a small amount of resources to work with.

Your generosity is making it possible for us to keep giving grants away and for 5fers like Jodie to donate just once, join and make a meaningful contribution to the cause of fairness too.

So thank you.  So much. I am truly grateful.

Anna

Hi Jan,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi Jan, I'm Payton M a 5 for fairness intern. Now that we have ended the last grant cycle it's time to raise another $5,000 so that we can provide one for a new team. We currently have slightly under $4,000 and you can help us reach our goal by donating just $5. Women's rights are very important to me as a young girl and your $5 will contribute to bringing awareness to women's rights issues. We appreciate all you've done and continue to do! Hi, my name is Madi L and I'm a 5 for Fairness intern. I'm stopping by to let you know now is the perfect time to support any Teams you think deserve spots in the Voting Round.  There are seven teams in the running and only five spots, so please take the time to look at all of the teams and support your favorites.  Here is how you can become a Team supporter.

Go to the teams tab and look at the teams individually, and if you find one to be intriguing, click the +Support (Team name) button on the top right corner of the Team page. For more "official" instructions on how to support a Team, click hereClick here to see all of the teams in the running. We appreciate all of your help and support!

Thank you,

Madi L

Hi Jan and thank you so much for answering our 5 questions for fairness survey! If you could say a little more about what, specifically, it was about the Teams that was confusing it would be so helpful.  I want to get a sense of where we lose folks! You are not alone in finding it a bit too much work to figure out what we do and how we do it so we making all that clearer his high up on our list of priorities. Thanks again for your very helpful feedback!  Anna
