What draws you to our cause?
I worked for 2 1/2 years at the EMUSOI CENTRE in Tanzania. EMUSOI is my passion. We are working hard to provide access to Secondary School for young Maasai girls. It seems to me that our fight for education for these young women and the ideas, ideals and directions of 5 for Fairness are a wonderful fit.

Hi Kate,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

I'm stopping by to let you know now is the perfect time to support any Teams you think deserve spots in the Voting Round.  There are seven teams in the running and only five spots, so please take the time to look at all of the teams and support your favorites.  Here is how you can become a Team supporter.

Go to the teams tab and look at the teams individually, and if you find one to be intriguing, click the +Support (Team name) button on the top right corner of the Team page. For more "official" instructions on how to support a Team, click hereClick here to see all of the teams in the running. We appreciate all of your help and support!

Thank you,

Hi Kate:
Now would be a great - in fact THE time - to start a team for Emusoi! I am having "Office Hours" this week and will be available to talk through any questions you have about how to start a Team. You can Skype me (fiveforfairness) on....

Wednesday, February 9 from 4 - 6 PM PST

and

Saturday, February 12 from 11AM - 1PM PST

If you can't make either of those times, just email me at 5forFairness(at sign)gmail.com and we can set up an appointment to talk via Skype or, if we want to be really old school, on the phone!

Nothing would make me happier than for our 5fers to learn all about Sister Mary's work...

Anna
