Diana Lucey said… Hi:
I'm Diana, a 5fer intern and am dropping by to let you know - in case you haven't visited for a while - that we're voting to decide the winner of our next $5000 grant. You are eligible to vote and we hope you will!
Voting takes less than 30 seconds and the ballot is right here:
http://5forfairness.net/ballot.php
There are brief descriptions of the Teams on the ballot, but you can learn more about the Teams by clicking on their Team pages.
We need every 5fers vote to make sure the group makes a great choice!
Thanks...
PS If you would like to sign up to get an email whenever we vote, you can do that right here:
Claire Charamnac said… Hi Liz,
I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

India W said… Hello Liz! If you have a moment I was hoping you would come by and check out the team page for Orchid project. Orchid project's goal is to end the practice of female genital cutting. If you are inspired by what you see we welcome your support and would love it if you would become a member of our team!
Thanks!
Madi L said… Hi, my name is Madi L and I'm a 5 for Fairness intern. I'm stopping by to let you know now is the perfect time to support any Teams you think deserve spots in the Voting Round. There are seven teams in the running and only five spots, so please take the time to look at all of the teams and support your favorites. Here is how you can become a Team supporter.
Go to the teams tab and look at the teams individually, and if you find one to be intriguing, click the +Support (Team name) button on the top right corner of the Team page. For more "official" instructions on how to support a Team, click here. Click here to see all of the teams in the running. We appreciate all of your help and support!
Thank you,
Madi L

Alejandra Valenzuela said… De nada liz. :) I really empathized with RowLA's grassroots efforts and loved the ethnic diversity. My team, MOSTE, won the last round and believe me, $5k goes a long way in a smaller operational budget. Best of luck!! This grant round is REALLY exciting!!
To join and vote, all you need to do is donate $5 to our grant account.
