Judy Rothman Rofe, Team leader of Equality Now has a message for you:

If you haven't voted yet, please think about the impact you can make with a vote for Equality Now. It is SHOCKING that in certain parts of the world there are no laws against rape, mutilation, incest or trafficking of child brides - Equality Now is working to actually enact and change laws!

Hi Michael,

Please check out my Team Page for an incredible organization called the Akilah Institute for Women. I am deeply inspired by the work they are doing to help educate and train young women in post-genocidal Rwanda. In a scant two years, they will graduate their first class in August 2012 with 100% placement in the workforce. The curriculum model has been so successful that they plan to expand to other developing African nations. Scholarship money is crucial to help enroll more students.   Please check out my Team page and if you like what you see, I hope you will cast your vote for Akilah!

Thank you,

Patti H

Hi there:
We hope 5 for Fairness is a fun, easy and meaningful experience for all our 5fers.  We know it's more fun for 5fers when they vote when we are awarding our grants and it's easier if they sign up for our newsletter so they know when to vote! We hope you'll do one (or both) of the above.  You can click here to donate your $5 and secure your spot in our list of voters and here to sign up for the newsletter.  If you do both, you'll be all set when we begin our next grant cycle on April 2 and give away another $5000 grant to a great organization working on behalf of women and girls!  If you have any questions about how things work around here, please feel free to leave a comment on our page!

Hi and welcome to 5 for Fairness! I'm Anna, the Founder and Chief Cheerleader. You have joined at a good time because this is voting week and we are voting to decide which of the four great Teams in the running will win our next $5000 grant. If you have already donated and voted, well, great!

If you haven't donated and would like to be able to vote to help decide the winner of our current - and all future - grants, you will need to donate a minimum of $5 to our collective grant account. 100% of your donation helps to build our next $5000 grant. You can click here to donate via Paypal (they take all major credit cards) . At this late stage of the game, only Paypal Instant payments work - echecks take too long to process!

Voting ends today at 6PM PST so we need your donation as soon as possible to make sure we have enough time to process it and your vote.

If you aren't ready to contribute and vote, no worries.  We're glad to have you in the circle and you can do plenty of good for any Team you like by Tweeting about them, or sharing them on facebook or Google+ using the handy little buttons scattered around the site. If you have any questions about how things work, please leave a comment on my page.

Again, welcome to the circle!
