Hi Nancy! My name is Kearney, and I'm a 5fer intern. Like Anna, I wanted to welcome to 5 for Fairness! Thanks so much for joining the site. We have a number of incredible teams championed here, including Camp Voice, Man Up, Equality Now, and Solar Sister. We are in the middle of a voting period right now, so I encourage you to learn about the various causes of these organizations, and vote for your favorite in hopes of gaining them the $5000 grant! In addition to supporting these teams, we have a lot else going on here. There are discussions, videos, and articles posted by our members all the time addressing womens issues and rights worldwide, and I hope that you will not hesitate in joining in the forum, as well as contributing your own posts, etc should you be so inspired. Hi Nancy and welcome to 5 for Fairness! So glad you are here.
In order for you to become a full-fledged member of 5 for Fairness and able to vote to help decide which nonprofit will win our grants, you will need to donate a minimum of $5 to our collective grant account. You'll be prompted to donate - and walked through the process - when you come back to 5 for Fairness the next time.
Once you donate, we will add your name to our voter database and send you an email telling you you're all set to vote. Voting itself takes all of 15 seconds and is, unlike 99.9% of internet voting, totally legit!
