The Yoga dialogue

Hi AYP - I'm curious...with so many serious problems (disease, need for water, food) facing the people you're trying to serve in Nairobi, problems that require practical, time-cosuming, daily attention, how do you sell Yoga as a worthy, transformative activity? IE what's the actual dialogue you'd have with a potential recruit?See More

Women LEAD

We empower young women to take leadership positions alongside men in Nepal by providing them with the skills to pursue their vision for change.Women in Nepal face overwhelming challenges: 1/3 of girls aged 15 to 19 are married and 60% of women are illiterate. Young women have the passion and vision to solve these problems, but simply lack the necessary resources. We build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle root causes of poverty and discrimination. We have equipped 200 promising…See More

Hi:
I'm Payton M, a 5fer intern, and am just dropping by to say "Thank you!" for being such a loyal and active 5fer.  It is because of members like you that we have been able to give away seven (yes, seven!) $5000 grants to organizations working to make the world fair for girls and women - and we're only a few hundred dollars away from our eighth!  We are so appreciative of the way you have put up with all our many growing pains and hope you keep on believing in our circle and the good we can do.  Thanks again…

I’d love your support to help us empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do. Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi Sam--

This is a great thing Anna, you and Eliot are doing and congrats on it all.  My son is "Elliot" -- less cultural/tribal reverb but close -- and we are off to visit colleges on his break in two weeks on a road trip loop from D.C. to Hanover.  He doesn't row but wrestles so I'm the only one at the oars, and that sporadically until May or so to gear up for HOCR. Best, Bayard
