Hi Susan,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Me again. Just read your HuffPo piece on Panzi and am here to ask you to start a discussion in our main forum about it - with a link to your HuffPo blog - saying just what you said to me which is that Panzi is a great choice! Also, since you contributed more than the required $5, you have two gift memberships to give away to anyone you think might want to be part of our community here. Just tell them to indicate when they join that they were given a gift membership by you and send me their naem and emails so I can match them up when they join. Thanks again and more soon!

Hi and welcome to 5 for Fairness! If you have spent a lot of time on facebook, you will probably find it really easy to get around here, but if you are a newcomer to social networking sites, it may take a little while to get your bearings. I'm a volunteer intern and am happy to act as your tour guide if you need one and to try answer any questions you might have.

We just gave away our first $5000 grant to the Panzi Hospital/HHI. We need only a few hundred dollars more until we have our NEXT $5000, so now is the time for members to join and/or start Teams. You can join as many existing Teams as you like and the only rules about starting a Team are that a)the Team needs to support an organization that fosters fairness for girls and b)Teams can only be started by passionate volunteers.

I have sent you an invitation to the VOTE HERE! group which is where we vote to decide which Team we will support with a grant. For now, please follow the link in the email and join the group, and you will be ready to vote when we are ready to give away our next $5000.

Looking forward to having you on this journey with us!
