I'm Diana, a 5fer intern, and am just dropping by to say "Thank you!" for being such a loyal and active 5fer.  It is because of members like you that we have been able to give away seven (yes, seven!) $5000 grants to organizations working to make the world fair for girls and women - and we're only a few hundred dollars away from our eighth!  We are so appreciative of the way you have put up with all our many growing pains and hope you keep on believing in our circle and the good we can do.  Thanks again…

Hi Susie and thanks for giving a gift membership. You were supposed to be sent to a form right away where you could tell us the name and email of your giftee. If that didn't happen, will you please let us know at gifts@5forfairness.org?

When you fill out the form, it automatically sends your lucky giftees an email telling them about your gift, but it's a good idea to send them a personal email too, telling them about 5 for Fairness and their gift membership (and your favorite Team if you are hoping they'll be voting soon!).  In your email, you can include this link to the form they need to fill out to collect their membership.

Hi there! I did donate but it doesn't recognize my e-mail so I can vote...I'll try again later or contact customer service to see what is happening.

You won't see her here until (unless) she joins our community too.  Your gift membership brought her into our voting circle but not everyone who wants to vote wants to join here too (though of course we are happy if people do join us here.)  This is for people who want to do more than vote: either advocate and show support for Teams (like you!) or learn more about the Teams in the running and what we are doing. In the past, we required people to both donate and join here but we got a lot of feedback that some people want to just donate and vote, without taking the extra step of joining our community here, so we made that option possible. We take our new 5fers wherever they want to start.

Joining here is free. People only need to donate $5 - or be gifted the donation - if they want to vote.

Yes, you can definitely give gift memberships!  We are just figuring out a streamlined way for doing it but if you want to get started, just click the donate button on the home page and make your donations - $5 per gift.  Then, when you get your tax acknowledment email, forward it to Gifts@5forFairness.org and add the names and emails of the people you are gifting memberships to. Then, send your lucky giftees to this address and they can sign up:
