Zoe L commented on Tom, Becky, and Rachel Field's blog post '5 for Fairness is a Gift'Once again, a time for choices that are not easy. All of these organizations are so deserving of a 5 grant. The only solution is to vote...and then make another donation to the next grant cycle. Each member of 5 for Fairness must assume a responsibility to remember this. The difference we make in the lives of young women throughout the world relates directly to our own willingness to remain aware and to keep on giving. 5 for Fairness is our access to both opportunities. Anna McDonnell said… Hi Tom, thanks so much for your most recent donation to our grant account. Your steady support - from the very beginning - is so meaningful. I hope 2013 is a wonderful year for you and brings lots of joy to you and those you love. xoxo Anna
Anna McDonnell said… Hi Tom!
We are doing TONS of behind the scenes work - creating playbooks for team leaders and people who want to help a team win - before our next grant cycle in early January. In the meantime, Carole made it 526 miles before Sandy stopped her in her AT tracks. Hope your holidays are merry and 2013 bright! xoxo Anna

"Accompanying these young women to discover their full potentials in life is both a privilege and a responsibility. May we invite you to visit our EMUSOI CENTRE'S page to get to know how you can help spread awareness and change in the lives of our girls. Thank you.”

If you haven't voted yet, please think about the impact you can make with a vote for Equality Now. It is SHOCKING that in certain parts of the world there are no laws against rape, mutilation, incest or trafficking of child brides - Equality Now is working to actually enact and change laws!

Patti Hall said… Hi Tom, Becky and Rachel,
Please check out my Team Page for an incredible organization called the Akilah Institute for Women. I am deeply inspired by the work they are doing to help educate and train young women in post-genocidal Rwanda. In a scant two years, they will graduate their first class in August 2012 with 100% placement in the workforce. The curriculum model has been so successful that they plan to expand to other developing African nations. Scholarship money is crucial to help enroll more students. Please check out my Team page and if you like what you see, I hope you will cast your vote for Akilah!
Thank you,
Patti H

Anna McDonnell said… Tom, here I am again to thank you for being the most supportive of 5fers - in all ways. I think I have said it before but if I have it's worth saying again - your instantaneously positive reaction to the idea when you first heard it was so important to me that if we hadn't had that encounter in your shop, 5 for Fairness would probably not exist at all. You are always so quick to add far more than your share to help us get back to $5000 in our grant account and I absolutely treasure your presence in our circle. I am full of gratitude for you and want you to know I consider you to be the very first 5fer! xo Anna
PS You have a gift membership to Elisa but...she is already a member! If you'd like to give one to someone else, just let us know right here.
Anna McDonnell said… Thanks so much for your contribution to our next grant, Tom. Your ongoing support and positive energy about 5 for Fairness is SO appreciated.
