Hi Cheryl and thank you so much for donating again to help us get back to $5000.  We have less than $50 to go and I'm planning on starting another grant cycle June 13 - have a few things to fix between now and then and can't imagine doing one more thing until graduation is done!  Thanks, too, for your sweet words about Eliot at the Lifers gathering - I don't take any credit for that boy but I am always happy to hear that others appreciate him!  Thanks again for always supporting 5 for Fairness - I am so grateful - if not for 5fers like you, we'd never have gotten off the ground, much less grown the way we have! xo  Anna

Hi:

I'm Christa, a 5fer intern, and am just dropping by to say "Thank you!" for being such a loyal 5fer.  It is because of 5fers like you that we have been able to give away seven (yes, seven!) $5000 grants to organizations working to make the world fair for girls and women - and we're only a few hundred dollars away from our eighth!  We are so appreciative of the way you have put up with all our many growing pains and hope you keep on believing in our circle and the good we can do.  Thanks again…

Hi Cheryl,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi, my name is Madi L and I'm a 5 for Fairness intern. I'm stopping by to let you know now is the perfect time to support any Teams you think deserve spots in the Voting Round.  There are seven teams in the running and only five spots, so please take the time to look at all of the teams and support your favorites.  Here is how you can become a Team supporter.

Go to the teams tab and look at the teams individually, and if you find one to be intriguing, click the +Support (Team name) button on the top right corner of the Team page. For more "official" instructions on how to support a Team, click hereClick here to see all of the teams in the running. We appreciate all of your help and support!

Thank you,

Madi L

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi Cheryl and thanks so much for filling out the 5 questions for fairness survey. Your answers were SO helpful.  We are hoping that Ning (the company that hosts our site) is going to be rolling out a feature whereby people can  join and donate in one fell swoop.  If it is not too expensive to use, we will definitely be taking them up on it. Totally agree that the home page is too crowded and love your idea of having the 5 for Fairness story up front and then links in a sidebar!  Again, Ning is working on a news system by which we could customize our pages more and as soon as that is available, I am going to try out your idea!  Glad that India sending you the link made it easy for you to vote!  Thanks again for your really helpful feedback! xo
