Question regarding Equality Now

EN has responded that the $5,000 grant, if made by 5 For Fairness will go to support the AGLDF (Adolescent Girls' Legal Defense Fund).  What has bee the budget for this fund over the last 3 years and what percentage does this fund bear to the entire budget of EN.  Does EN intend to sustain the same level of funding for the AGLDF or are there any anticipated changes to increase or decrease over the next 12-24 months?See More

Hi Kristie,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hello Kristie! If you have a moment I was hoping you would come by and check out the team page for Orchid project. Orchid project's goal is to end the practice of female genital cutting. If you are inspired by what you see we welcome your support and would love it if you would become a member of our team!

Thanks!

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi Mary:
Guidestar is a website that lists nonprofits and data about them in order to help people make smart decisions about which nonprofits to support. They are running a contest in which they will give $5000 (perfect, right?) to the nonprofit that gets the most new reviews in the month of February. I am going to ask every board member to head on over and give us a rave review and let me know of any problems you run into while writing it so I can clearly outline the process for our members. If you have a second during a  lull in the Super Bowl, will you head on over and give us a rave?  This link should work but if it doesn't, go to guidestar.org and search for 5 for Fairness Thank you!
