Hi Susan,

I’m the co-founder of Women LEAD, one of the teams competing for the grant this month. I’d love your support to empower more than 200 young women in Nepal to become leaders in their schools and communities! Your vote would help us build the capacity of future female leaders to tackle the root causes of poverty and discrimination. Our organization strongly believes that building young women's confidence and skills is key to empowerment. Please check out our page and website to see the work that we do and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi,

My name is Payton M, I am a 5 For Fairness intern. I’m stopping by to let you know that now is the time to support your favorite team or teams to help them advance into the voting round. Seven teams are competing for five available spots in the voting round. The five teams that make it to the voting round will have a chance to win our $5000 grant, but only one team will win. The teams need your support now to make it into the voting round.  Here's how to support a Team:

First click on the Teams tab at the top of any page to see all of the teams. Click on any team that sounds interesting to you. If you like what you see and want to become a supporter, click the +Support (Team name) button in the upper right hand corner of the Team page. You can support as many Teams as you think deserve a spot in the Voting Round. Click here for more information on how to support a Team or, if you are ready to start, click here to see all the Teams.

Thanks for supporting 5 For Fairness,

Payton M.

Hi Susan,
We’re just five days away from voting for the team we want to receive the first ever $5,000 grant from 5ForFairness. I’m the team leader for MOSTE, a mentoring program for girls in middle and high school. Nearly all the girls go on to college or professional school. I hope you will join our team today. Then, on February 22nd, please come back and cast your vote for MOSTE. The girls are inspiring and the mentors are beyond dedicated. We all thank you for your support.

Hi and welcome to 5 for Fairness! We are very glad to have you. Right now, we have our first $5000 grant ready to give away and this is how we'll go about it: Between now and February 22, Team leaders are trying to get as many members of 5 for Fairness as possible to join their Teams. As a member, you can join multiple Teams (and once you have joined you can "unjoin" them too.) To join a Team, go to its Team page and click the link at the top of the page that says "Join". Joining means you think the Team is worth moving into the Voting Round. Right now we have 6 Teams, but only the 5 Teams with the most supporters will move to the Voting Round. So please visit the Team page to see which Teams you think worthy of moving into the Voting Round. Then, on February 22, the Voting Round begins and every 5 for Fairness member will have one week to give their one vote to their favorite of the 5 Teams. The Team that gets the most votes, gets the grant. And then we start all over again! Confused about the difference between Joining and Voting? Click here? Have questions about how this all works (or anything at all)? Feel free to ask 'em here. Again, welcome! Anna
