My Mothers Journey With Prilosec OTC

Yesterday, my mom joined a competition sponsored by her beloved Prilosec OTC heart burn medication. Though she doesn't actually use this product, she figured that anything that can bring money to 5 for Fairness is great. The way this competition works is that there are a bunch of people, all of whom posted their passions on the website, who are vying for cash prizes that go to support their passions. They each get as many of their friends and family to vote for them as possible. The winners are determined by a board looking at a number of factors (including whether or not people actually use Prilosec!) but a big part of it is how many votes you get.

Even though lots of these people have been accumulating votes for months, my Mom decided to enter the competition anyway. Her passion, of course, is fairness for girls. I know my mom has a lot of friends and a lot of family so there is no reason we can't win this! EVERYONE needs to do everything they can ASAP!

All you need to do is click the link below, and register (use an 8 character password and a unique sounding username), then VOTE FOR MY MOM! If she wins, all the money (and hopefully no Prilosec) will go to 5 for Fairness and we will have our next $5000 grant to give away.

Judy, reboot your computer and try again. Or use a different email! You MUST be our 100th vote!

Nice post, Eliot. I just tried to vote for the third time and was denied, even though I am a Prilosec user.

Happily, there are 50 winners so who knows, we may have a real shot!

Voted again and getting Mark to do it also. Is there only one winner to this thing?

Thanks to everyone for voting (India, you may have to be older than 18 to participate). Here is an update on my - our! - progress.

I spent the loooong day in Long Beach watching the world's worst spectator sport and, much to my delight, find upon my return that I have achieved my passionately, if briefly, held goal of making it to Page 1!  For those of you who have watched as many reality TV shows based on Mount Everest as I have, I would say this is the equivalent of reaching the HIllary Step.  We've made it a long way up, but the hard part is still ahead.  Happily, while I was lounging courseside today I left Brittney, Morocco Volunteer in the dust and sailed past Shelli, teacher and mentor for young adults (do feel a tad guilty about that but...don't let anyone ever tell you that raising money for a good cause is not a contact sport.) Taking a breather now to show you what the summit has in store...

Don't let Raquel, Supporter of Us Troops and her 2903 votes worry you. She
has already won in the last round. What would it take, I wonder, to
bypass, Daniel, Outdoor Guide, by this time tomorrow? Got any ideas?
Please pass them my way - I need the oxygen.

And if you haven't voted today, may I suggest?
